So you’re probably wondering why the heck I have a new site, why the heck it’s called Vintage Brass, and what the heck happened to my old site.
I’ll be honest: My old site was getting to be a bit of a problem. It was hosted by a friend’s server, and whenever that server went down I had to contact him and wait and wait for it to get fixed. This was rarely his fault, as one cannot control server crashes, but it did become frustrating. On top of that, it was just getting to be a hassle to constantly have to upgrade the wordpress updates manually and having to constantly go into the FTP to load any pictures onto posts. I really appreciate that this friend started the site for me five years ago and listened to my constant questions about how to run it (seeing as I used to be a lot more website-ignorant as I am now). He definitely helped me out and I am grateful for that. However, it’s time for a change.
Why the new name? A change, I suppose. Noisewave never really made any sense, and maybe neither does Vintage Brass but I’ll do my best to explain. As you might be able to see, the reason that this site is called Vintage Brass is because I love music, I love my saxophone, and I love photography. So the header of my page is a picture of my Vintage Selmer 1967 Mark VI Tenor Saxophone.
So where did the old site go? It is still up and likely will be for a short period of time. I have only moved over the four most recent posts from that site to this one, as I didn’t want starting this site up to end up becoming a time-consuming event.
With that said… WELCOME! I hope you stick around for my journey of random ramblings, photo posts, and general life updates.
Happy Thursday, Friends!
Tess
